POSITION OF AMERICA MAY BE DETERMINED BY OTHERS. ; “IF SOMEONE ATTACKS US.” (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, August 21. “The United States entry into the war might to a certain extent be determined, not by ourselves, but by some other power,” said Captain Elliott Roosevelt, upon his arrival in London on an air mission for the United States Army Air Corps. He added: “We are going to defend our ships. If someone attacks us, we shall be in the war.”
