EXHIBITION IN MASTERTON. Arrangements were made yesterday for the display in Masterton from Scptember 1 to September 6 inclusive of a collection of waste materials and of the articles made from these scraps. The exhibition has been viewed by many thousands of people in other centres and it is anticipated that a similar interest will be shown in Masterton.

The display will be arranged in Messrs Hugo & Shearer's shop and a competition is to be held, open to school children, for the collection of the largest number of toothpaste and cosmetic containers. First prizes of 10s, second of 7s 6d and third of 3s 6d will be awarded in both girls and boys’ section. The prizes were donated by Mr H. P. Hugo. The closing date of the competition will be September 19.
