POWER BOARD
MEETING HELD YESTERDAY
(“Times-Age” Special.)
The monthly meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board was held yesterday when there were present: Messrs P. Davies (chair), P. S. Page, L. Johnson, C. T. Richardson, E. W. Cheetham, A. AV. Bissett, T. Fouhy, W. Britland and J. G. Brechin. Accounts amounting to £1529 10s were passed for payment. The treasurer reported that the receipts in connection with the electricity account for the month were as follow: —Eketahuna Borough. £276 7s Id; Pahiatua Borough, £789 10s Id; Country Districts, £1892 14s 3d; total. £2958 Ils sd. It was resolved that the executive officers of the board attend the annual conference to be held on September 28. Plunket Society. At the monthly meeting of the local branch of the Plunket Society, Mrs Albrechtsen presided ovei’ a good attendance of members. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mrs M. A. Hudson. The treasurer acknowledges subscriptions from Mesdames A. S. Carter, E. M. George, D. Salter, Roland Cooper, of 5s each, and L. Christie, 10s.
