S.M. COURT
MONTHLY SITTING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly sitting of the S.M. Court was held at Greytown on Wednesday when Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., presided. Erin Flynn, for having control of '■liquor near a dance in the Morison’s i Bush Hall was fined £5, costs 10s. The Transport Department proceeded against Clifford Burling for having no warrant of fitness for his motor car. He was fined 10s. Israel Beder was fined £1 with costs 10s, for having exceeded the speed of 25 miles per hour with a heavy traffic vehicle. Judgment summonses: —In the case of Joe Lum v. T. P. Strang, a claim for £1 13s Id, defendant was sentenced to 2 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as 5s per month was paid. Painui Stores Ltd. v. J. V/. Hiscox, a claim for £7 17s 4d. Defendant was sentenced to 7 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as 30s per month was paid. A Personal Items. Miss Margaret Eccles. McMaster Street, is spending a few days in Wellington, and will later go on to Wanganui. Miss Dulcie Richards, of McMaster Street, is on a visit to Christchurch. Miss Joyce Horton, of Wellington, arrived in Greytown yesterday on a short holiday.
