ADMISSIONS & EXCUSES.
INCREASING TOLL TAKEN OF U-BOATS.
(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, August 14. “U-boats or planes are now facing much greater difficulties in carrying out their orders to blockade the British Isles,” says the “Frankfurter. Zeitung.” “It has beceme extremely difficult to detect British convoys, because they now take new routes, and there are fewer convoys.” , The “Daily Telegraph's" naval correspondent says the feeble excuses put out by the enemy to explain Britain’s reduced shipping losses may be taken as evidence that the Battle of the Atlantic is going against them. It has been officially slated that U-boats are being sunk with increasing frequency.
