ReSjCTS OF R.A.F. BOMBING EVIDENCE OF NEUTRAL BUSINESS MEN. MOST IMPORTANT BUILDINGS DESTROYED. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON. August 13. Neutral business men from Germany say the R.A.F. night raids have left Cologne almost unrecognisable. One informant told a British United Press correspondent on the German frontier that R.A.F. bombs had destroyed the Opera House, most of the large hotels, the main station and many other important buildings, including large factories. The raids had caused heavy civilian casualties. Another said the R.A.F. had enormously damaged the industrial _ sections of the city, the pilots hitting their targets with what the Germans regard as uncanny accuracy.
