AIR LINER CRASH

AMERICAN FERRY PILOTS AMONG VICTIMS. SHEPHERD’S TRAGIC DISCOVERY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, August 13. The 22 victims in the air liner crash reported yesterday comprised six Canadians, eight Britons, seven Americans, including aircraft ferry pilots, and one Australian. A shepherd’s dog coming to the shepherd with something in its mouth which he recognised as part of a plane, led to the discovery of the wreck. It was only two miles from a village lying at the foot of a mountain ridge. Villagers heard the aeroplane’s engines at 8.30 p.m. on Sunday. The machine must have crashed within a few seconds, although the wreckage was not discovered till 24 hours later.
