COMFORTS FOR SOLDIERS

MASTERTON KNITTERS’ WORK.

REGULAR SUPPLIES SENT FORWARD.

During the past year a greatly increased quantity of wool has been received from the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council and distributed bj r the Masterton Women’s Patriotic Committee from its depot at the Rest Room, Dixon Street. This wool is made into knitted comforts for the men overseas.

No monthly acknowledgment through the Press of this work has been made as many knitters wish to remain anonymous, but it is of interest to note that through the efforts of constant workers a regular supply of well-knitted goods is forwarded each month to Wellington. During the last two months the undermentioned articles have been forwarded: —Scarves, 134; balaclavas, 193; mittens, 168; sox, 2 pairs; pullover, 1.
