Rain, 12 points. Frost, 3 degrees. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 11 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. Last quarter, August 15. ,1.40 p.m.; new moon, August 23, 6.34 a.m.; first quarter, August 30, 2.4 a.m. SUN. The sun rose today 7.15 a.m.; sets 5.37 p.m.
