DANISH FREIGHTERS
REQUISITIONED IN U.S.A. THREE CHARTERED TO NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegranh—Press Association —Copyright) WASHINGTON, August 9. The Maritime Commission has authorised the charter of three requisitioned Danish freighters to the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Limited, to replace British tonnage diverted elsewhere. This report was confirmed last night by > the Acting-Prime Minister, Mr Nash, who said these vessels would replace three Union Company ships transferred to other routes.
