MOVEMENT TO SUPPORT BRITAIN IN WAR. ADDRESS BY CARDINAL HINSLEY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 9. Cardinal Hinsley gave the presidential address in Westminster Cathedral Hall this afternoon on the occasion of the first anniversary of the “Sword of the Spirit” movement. He said that in spite of difficulties and misunderstanding the movement had been an unprecedented success. Branches had been formed in all parts of the country. There were 25,000 members in the army alone, .and it had spread rapidly in' the navy and air force. Under Catholic auspices the movement was formed to support Britain in the war.
