AIR TRANSPORT
EXPANSION OF BRITISH SERVICES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, August 7. A record in 'war time civilian air traffic was created recently when British Airways had six services leaving the country and three arriving from abroad, reports “The Aeroplane.” The traffic figures for the day were: 100 passengers, 150,000 letters and 60001 b. of miscellaneous freight. The air mail transit times haev been improved, and letters from Australia have arrived within a month and some which were sent via the Pacific, in under three weeks.
