OVER 490,000 MEN TRAINED IN AUSTRALIA STATEMENT BY MR MENZIES, MIRACLES OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. The Federal Prime Minister (Mr Menzies) disclosed that more than 400,000 men had been trained and equipped for fighting services in Australia. Accepting, on behalf of the Federal Government, the delivery of the hundredth two-pounder anti-tank gun produced in one South Australia factory, Mr Menzies said miracles had been performed in war production.
