EXTENSION IN UNITED STATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, August 5. The Senate rejected by 50 votes to 27 Senator’s Taft’s proposal to limit the extension of army service to six m'onths beyond the original year. It is now believed that an 18 months’ extension will be adopted.
