The Munitions Minister, Mr Howe, has announced that new orders for upwards of a thousand war planes are about to be awarded to Canadian factories. the outlay involved approximating 25.000,000 dollars and bringing the total to about 60,000,000 dollars. The Canadian Press says the destination of the planes has not been revealed, but unconfirmed reports indicate that the United States may purchase for the Far East, both for China' and the Netherlands East Indies under the Lend and Lease policy.
