PERSONAL STEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) On Saturday night Miss Ouida McLeod and her brother, Leading Aircraftman Alex. McLeod, who will leave the district shortly were guests at a farewell party. The Table Tennis Club presented Miss McLeod with a leather-bound. book and Leading Aircraftman McLeod with a leather outfit. Mrs J. B. Bockett is visiting Mrs I. Bockett Senr., Plimmerton. Constable and Mrs McLeod left on Sunday for their new home in Auckland. Mrs J. E. Willett is attending the annual meeting of the Red Cross Council in Wellington today. Miss Fawcett, Lower Hutt, is the guest of Miss Corlet, Pahautea. Mrs Corlet is visiting Wellington for a few days. Mrs McKenna Senr., has returned to her home at Eketahuna after having visited her son, Mr L. McKenna, Pahautea. On Monday night the friends of Mr and Mrs Norman Carey paid them a surprise visit at their new home. An enjoyable time was spent in games, singing and competitions, the competition winners being: Misses B. Currie, J. Taylor, E. Wilkinson and M. Cundy. At a suitable interval Mrs Carey opened the parcels which each guest brought.
