HOME GUARD WEEKLY PARADE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The weekly parade of the local Home Guard unit was held last evening. The activities comprised rifle and bayonet drill, platoon formation drill, etc. i The n.c.o’s. classes at Masterton this week should be well attended by local officers. Aircraftman to be Honoured. On Wednesday evening, a dance will be held at Mauriceville East in honour of Aircraftman G. Fraser, and should be strongly supported. Aircraftman Fraser has, for some years past, interested himself in most of the social and sports organisations in the district. Fall of Snow. Mauriceville experienced a heavy fall of snow during the weekend, the surrounding countryside being covered for some hours.
