METHODIST CHURCH

LAST NIGHTS SERVICE.

ATTENDED BY MEMBERS OF R.S.A

Despite the inclement weather, there was a good attendance of members of the Returned Soldiers Association at the service last night at the Methodist Church. The service was conducted by the Rev. H. J. Odell.

Mr Odell is the official representative of the Home Mission Department of the Methodist Church. He was an officer in the Fourth Battalion of the Rifle Brigade in the last war. The choir, under the direction of Mr W. Davies, rendered the anthem, “Seek Ye the Lord.” Mr Odell gave an inspiring address upon the world situation, and contended that there was a solution to be obtained through the Christian faith. Miss D. Jamieson was the soloist, and gave a delightful rendering of ‘‘Enter Ye the Gates of the Temple.” Miss C. Donald officiated at the organ.
