THREAT TO PORTUGAL
HITLER ASSEMBLING TROOPS
IN OCCUPIED FRANCE. ACCORDING TO RUSSIAN AGENCY. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.40 p.m.) MOSCOW, August 3. The Tass Agency's Geneva correspondent suggests that Hitler is assembling troops on the Spanish border of occupied France for an attack against Portugal. The correspondent adds that several Panzer divisions are stationed between Bordeaux and Bayonne and that large units of Spanish troops are being despatched to the Portuguese frontier.
