MAN POWER
MEETING OF WAIRARAPA COMMITTEE TERRITORIAL TRAINING. APPLICATIONS CONSIDERED FOR POSTPONEMENT. Sixteen applications for the postponement of Territorial service were considered ,by the Wairarapa xMan Power Committee at a sitting in Masterton this morning. There were present Messrs T. Jordan (chairman), L. T. Daniell and F. Cole. Service was postponed in the following cases: Bryan Carrie Bidwill (coappellant, Raymond Wilfred Matthews), to October 31, 1941; Ben Alfred Fenemor (co-appellant, trustees Est. R. A. M. Miller), to December 31, 1941; Roy Maxwell Batty (co-appellant, Masterten Dairy Co.), to April 30, 1942, appellant to join the Home Guard; Bruce Campbell Harris, to September 1, 1941; Harry William Golder (co-ap-p'ellant, William John Palamontain), to November 30. 1941. appellant to join the Home Guard; Colin Campbell Hansen (co-appellant, George Anders Hansen), to April 30, 1942; Anthony St. Hill Vallance (co-appellant, Frederick Baime Vallance), to Februery 28, 1942; Peter John Greenlees (co-appellant, Masterton Printing Co.), to October 31, 1941, appellant to join the Home Guard; Vernon Joseph Kenny (co-ap-pellant, Director of National Service), to December 31, 1941); Leonard Guy Wilton (co-appellant, Leonard Robert Wilton), to March 31. 1942.
Adjournments were given in the case of the following applications: Garrett Simpson (co-appellant, Masterton Fire Board, sine die; Donald James Jenkin (co-appellants, “Wairarapa TimesAge”), to August 31, 1941, appellant to join the Home Guard; Ronald Clive Wyeth (co-appellant, Director of National Service), sine die, appellant to join the Home Guard; Leslie Wilfred Dunn (co-appellant, Director of National Service), sine die; Edward Patrick. Savage, sine die; Malcolm Donald Stuart (co-appellant, Director of National Service), to May 31, 1942.
