TANK OUTPUT
BRITISH WORKERS SET RECORD IN JULY. MINISTER’S EXPECTATIONS SURPASSED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 2. In a message to workers in British tank factories the Minister of Supply, Lord Beaverbrook, revealed that the output of tanks for July was a record. “You have surpassed my expecta-tions-and beaten the programme I laid down for your direction on the first day of the month,” said Lord Beaverbrook.
