INTERNED REFUGEES

SOME ALLOWED TO RETURN TO BRITAIN.

RUGBY, July 31. It was revealed in answer to a question in Parliament that authority has been given for 308 interned refugees to be returned to the United Kingdom from Canada and 173 from Australia. A total of 891 persons have already been brought back from Canada and 196 arc now on their way from Australia.

These figures were given by the Home Secretary, Mr Morrison, who said that since the war began 88,000 aliens had been given permission to leave Britain. Of them about 52,000 had embarked for European ports.
