WEDDING
KING—RAYNER
A quiet wedding of local interest took place recently at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, when Barbara Audrey, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Rayner, Carrington, was married to Raymond, only son of Mr and Mrs E. A. King, Karori. The Ven. Arch. E. J. Rich officiated and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by a friend, Mr A. Linton. Pirinoa, looked charming wearing an air force blue costume with a fur stole, the gift of the bridegroom, and navy accessories. Her bouquet of cream azaleas, freesias and blue irises completed a pleasing toilette. The bridesmaid. Miss Beryl Linton, Featherston, wore a smart air force blue with white pin stripe frock, fur stole and navy accessories. Her bouquet was of daphne, freesias, lemon jonquils and marigolds. The duties of best man were carried out by a cousin of the bridegroom, Mr W. G. Parker, Carterton. At the reception, Mrs Rayner, wearing rust with navy accessories, and Mrs King, wearing black with black accessories, received the guests. Later, Mr and Mrs Raymond King left by car for the North. Their future home will be in Wellington.
