Mr Harriman, who arrived in England on March 15, as President Roosevelt’s special defence expert in connection with the delivery of Lease or Lend supplies, has left on a short visit to the United States. Mr Harriman returned a fortnight ago from a six weeks’ visit to the Middle East, but this is his first visit to the United States since his original arrival in England.
