CRIPPLED CHILDREN
LIBRARY BOOKS & HOBBY SETS DONATED. A valuable library is gradually being built up for the benefit of crippled children in the Wairarapa. Books wanted include those dealing with hobbies, travel, and fiction. Those found unsuitable are sent to lighthouses. As the ages of crippled children range from 2 to 18 years, a wide scope of variety is offered to those wishing to make donations. At yesterday’s Shop Day in Masterton, several residents contributed £4 10s. for the purchase of cardboard building and block building outfits for donating to the crippled children’s library. A number of books were also donated for the same purpose. The activity of the Crippled Children Society no doubt will be appreciated by its many wellwishers, and its Welfare Officer, Mrs A. Kilgour, will be pleased to receive further donations.
