ROTARY CLUB
RESIGNATION OF SECRETARY. TRIBUTE TO SERVICES. There was a good attendance at today’s luncheon of the Masterton Rotary Club, presided over by Mr P. F. Fagan. The president, Mr Fagan, stated that it was the regret of all members that the secretary, Mr Raymond Lee, had resigned on account of having taken over the task of looking after the Home Guard. Mr Fagan said he was certain that Mr Lee would more than fulfil all that was required of him in his new position. There was no finer secretary in New Zealand than Mr Lee, he said. It was to be hoped that the war vzould soon be over and Mr Lee would be able to resume office. A welcome was extended to Mr Alex. McKenzie, Mr Lee’s successor. Mr S. L. P. Free endorsed Mr Fagan’s remarks. Messrs R. McPherson, a visiting Christchurch Rotarian and Mr S. Divers (Masterton) were welcomed as guests of the club. The speaker for the .day was Mr W. G. Perry, who gave an interesting address on model aeroplanes, a report of 'which appears on page 7. On the motion of Mr A. C. Tatton, the speakei was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. t?; bls •. -
