LOCAL CHAMPIONSHIPS LAST NIGHT'S GAMES. FULL OF SURPRISES. The games played last evening were not up to the usual high standard but were full of surprises. In the ladies’ A grade section, Garages brought off the firs.t surprise of the evening by holding Woolworths to a 2-all draw. State Kitchenette in the senior B division continued their winning way and defeated McKenzies by 11 points to 6. In the junior ladies, Taltons played a much more open game than usual and held Rangers B, the leading team in that section, to a draw, 10 points each. The Y.M.C.A. gymnasium was packed after the Vesta-Woolworths game had been in progress a few minutes. The half-time score was 4-3 in favour of Woolworths, and Vesta were very fortunate in holding the fast-improv-ing Woolworths team to a draw, 9 all. this being the third drawn game during the evening. The following is the detailed list of the results: — Ladies' Senior A. Garages 2 (L. O’Neil 2) drew with Woolworths 2 (A. Burgess 2). W.F.C.A. 18 (A. Keisenberg 8. J. Palmer 6, I. Palmer 4) beat Banks 0. Ladies’ Senior B. Rovers 14 (L. Bishop 8, S. Duley 4, G. Hoar 2) beat Cathies 7 (M. McCormack 4, C. Riddell 2, E. Thomas 1). Codys 16 (M. Eastwood 7, R. Eastwood 7, N. Brown 2) beat McDuffs 4 (M. Hourigan 4). State Kitchenette A 11 (A. Stains 4, J. Jones 4, A. Davey 2) beat McKenzies 6 (V. Grimwood 4, T. Jones 2). Junior Ladies. Sparklets 14 (J. Stevens 8, E. McGovern 6) beat State Kitchenette B (L. Hopkins 6, D. Kenny 2, N. Stewart 2). Tattons 10 (V. Hessel 4, A. Bilderbeck 2, H. McDonald 2. J. Macdonald 1, I. Dickason 1) drew with Rangers A 10 (T.
