GOLF CLUB DRAW FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS. ("Times-Age” Special.) The following is the draw for the first, round of the, championships of the Featherston Golf Club which are to be played on Saturday: — Seniors: W. Rowles v. T. Lang; J. McCallum v. K. H. Allen; W. Jeffrey v. R. Donald; H. Bloxam v. G. O’Neale. Juniors. A. Hoby v. J. Willett; G. S. Sharp v. H. Nielson; L. Benton, v. A. McNamara.

The following have byes: H. Lovegnove, J. W. Card, I. Donald, D. Carlyon, and H. McCarty.

Personal Items. Mrs Clapshaw has returned from a visit to Wellington where she attended a commemoration service at St. Anne’s Church, Northland, in connection with the death of her father, Mr Edmund Jones, and at which the Venerable Archdeacon Bullock, assisted by the Rev. Ashley-Jones, dedicated a ( litany desk, a prayer desk and a brass tablet presented by the parishioners tio the memory of the late Mr Jones, who for 29 years had beep people’s warden at the church. Mrs Pullford, acting on medical advice, has entered the Greytown Hospital for treatment. Mrs R. C. Elbe, Pahautea, is paying a visit to Lower Hutt. Mrs B. Sadler, Pukio, is visiting relatives at Petone.

Social Gatherings Postponed. The euchre parties and dances which have been held at Kaiwaiwai for some time past are to be discontinued until further notice.
