FREEDOM OF GLASGOW

CONFERRED ON MR FRASER TRIBUTE TO CLYDESIDE PEOPLE. WARNING TO AGGRESSORS IN PACIFIC. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) LONDON. July 29. , Speaking at the function at which he received the freedom of Glasgow, Mr P. Fraser. New Zealand Prime Minister, warned would-be aggressors in the Pacific. He said this was probably the most, critical hour for the democratic nations in the Pacific since the outbreak of war, but he was absolutely confident that if any nation in the Pacific departed from peace and friendship there would be unity against aggression.

Mr Fraser paid a tribute to his fel-low-citizens of Clydeside and declared that enemy action had not yet closed a single British port.
