A DINNER DISH

STEAMED RASPBERRY PUDDING,

Cream 3oz. margarine well, gradually add 2oz. sugar, and beat until light. Beat 2 eggs well and add to butter mixture, beating well all the time. Add 1 tablespoon jam, and lastly 4oz. plain flour and i teaspoon bicarbonate of soda, dissolved in 1 dessertspoon boiling water. Drain the syrup from 1 small tin raspberries or loganberries and place the fruit at the bottom of a wellgreased pudding basin, add mixture, cover with greased paper, and steam for 14 hours. Turn out and serve with the .syrup thickened with 2 teaspoons cornflour diluted with a little of the cold syrup. ____________
