Wearing a V badge which a girl worker had given him, Mr Fraser interrupted his journey northward to visit Mrs Dowse at her grocery store, near Bolton, to convey good wishes from, her son, Mr Percy Dowse, a member of the executive of the New Zealand Labour Party.
