PATRIOTIC SOCIETY ENJOYABLE CARD PARTY. (‘•Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable time was spent at the Patriotic Society’s card party, and many interesting games were played. The winners were: — Ladies: Mrs Wallis, 1. Men: Mr Kitchen, 1. Consolation: —Ladies: Mrs Curtis, 1. Men: Mr McManaway, 1. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Hansen have been spending a few days in Eketahuna and. Masterton. Mrs Devery Senr., is spending a short holiday with Mr and Mrs Wallis. Mr and Mrs Reg. Houlbrooke have returned from a holiday spent in Hawke’s Bay. The many friends of Mr and Mrs Duncan, will be sorry to hear that their son, Dennis, has entered hospital for treatment. Influenza Outbreak. Influenza is very prevalent in the district and many local residents are, in consequence, confined to their beds.
