MID-AIR COLLISION
ENEMY BOMBER & R.A.F. PLANE MACHINES DESTROYED & CREWS KILLED. ANOTHER AIRCRAFT CRASHES ON LINCOLN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Dav, 9 15 a.m.) RUGBY, July 22. An Air Ministry communique states: “An enemy bomber collided with a R.A.F. aircraft over the Home Counties during last night. Both the aircraft were destroyed and the crews killed. Another aircraft crashed on the City of Lincoln and the occupants of the aircraft and one civilian were killed.” TEN KILLED BOMBER STRIKES TELEGRAPH POLE. WOMEN AMONG VICTIMS. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 22. When a Hudson bomber collided with a telegraph pole and then crashed on a canteen in Northern Ireland, ten members of the Services were killed. The victims were three members of the crew, six W.A.A.F's. and a member of the R.A.F. ground staff.
