EUCHRE PARTY ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) A successful euchre party was held in the Red Cross Society's rooms yesterday afternoon, when £2 Ils was realised. The winner at cards was Mrs Hankers, while Mesdames Bloxam and F. O’Neale were the winners of the competitions. Donations are acknowledged from Mesdames Batty, C. J. Nix, R. Hardy, Bloxam, A. Tait and Miss Palliser. Parcels for Prisoners of War, The following donations to the Parcels for Prisoners of War Fund are gratefully acknowledged: — Miss E. Viles, £5; Mr and Mrs Percy Smith, £1 Is. Personal Items. Miss Eileen Cole is undergoing her second 60-hour V.A. training period al the Masterton Hospital. Mr R. P. Hardy is paying a visit to Auckland. Mr and Mrs Beckett are spending a holiday at Mt. Maunganui, Tauranga. Mr Colin Buck has been appointed temporary sole teacher at Ruakakapatuna School. Euchre Party Winners. The winners of the euchre party held at Kaiwaiwai on Saturday night were: —Ladies: Mr H. Williams, 1; Mrs Hall, 2. Men: Mr Kelly, 1; Mr McGarvie, 2. The aggregate prizes were won by Mrs Baker and Mr W. Fuge.
