FOOD CORNERING
DEATH PENALTY DECREED IN ITALY. IMPRISONMENT AND FINES FOR PROFITEERING. (Received This Day, 12,50 p.m.) LONDON, July 20. The Romo radio has announced that the death penalty has been decreed for cornering food, with the object .of raising prices. The penalty for selling at prices higher than the controlled prices is three years' imprisonment and fines ranging from 3,000 to 30,000 liras.
