BADMINTON
ST. MATTHEW’S V. PAHIATUA CONTEST ON SATURDAY NIGHT. WIN FOR LOCAL TEAM. An enjoyable time was spent at the Parish Hall, Masterton, on Saturday night, when a team from the Pahiatua Badminton Club visited the St. Matthew’s Club. Following tea, many interesting matches were played. Supper was served by the St. Matthew’s ladies’ committee. Mr W. L. Harrington, club captain, extended a welcome to the visitors. Mr D. O’Brien replied on behalf of the Pahiatua team. A return match will be played at Pahiatua on Saturday, August 9.
