PETROL FRAUDS
MAN SENT TO GAOL IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) MELBOURNE, July 18. Arising out of forgeries of petrol ration tickets a case brought against George Stewart, aged 29, resulted in his being sentenced to four months imprisonment on each of two charges of uttering forged tickets. The magistrate said the frauds were the work of a master mind and. that Stewart was only one of a number of conspirators in a most ingenious crime.
