* WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute held in the Tinui Hall Mrs Speedy presided over a fair attendance of members. Mrs Speedy gave very interesting talk on a holiday- spent in the Southern Lakes district. It was decided to send parcels to local soldiers serving overseas. Members were asked to bring to the next meeting articles suitable for sending overseas in the parcels. The competitions held during the month resulted as follow: —Cushion cover: Miss C. O’Hara 1, Mrs Beck 2, Miss O. Owen 3. Three-minute sponge: Mrs Beck 1, Mrs Owen 2, Mrs E. Schofield 3. Best bloom: Miss O. Owen 1, Mrs Street 2, Mrs Mac Alister 3.
