GOLF COMPETITIONS KUMMERSTEIN CUP. (“Times-Age” Special.) The best net scores returned by players over the weekend were those of Miss E. Bannister, who netted 64 in the ladies’ section, and S. Gray (69) in the men’s division. Miss E. .Bannister also defeated Mrs A. McGregor in a Kummerstein Cup match. Next weekend a bogey competition will be played. The draw will be made at the clubhouse. Golf Dance. At a meeting of the committee of the Golf Club it was decided not to hold the annual golf ball, but instead to conduct a series of dances, the proceeds from which will be donated to patriotic purposes. The first of these will be held in the local hall on Saturday, August 2. The supper arrangements were left in the hands of Mrs J. Bannister .and Mrs Schofield. Mr J. Bannister was deputed to make arrangements for providing the music for the dance.
