AND SERVICE IN MILITARY FORCES. POSITION AT WAIRARAPA COLLEGE. The staff of Wairarapa College has nine members holding the King s Commission, including the Officer Commanding a Territorial regiment, also two officers serving overseas, and otnei members conspicuous in patriotic Ayork. Two members of the staff, in addition to those mentioned, are returned soldiers. A proposal that this staff should be asked to take the oath of allegiance was considered by the governing board and rejected by seven votes to two. or those opposing the resolution, the majority were returned soldiers. It is believed that the proportion of trained officers on this staff is not only the highest in the Wairarapa district, but must be nearly a record for the Dominion.
