PARLIAMENT
LENGTH OF SESSION MR NASH UNABLE TO SAY. PROPOSED LEGISLATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 11. No estimate of the likely duration of the main part of the present session of Parliament which is to begin next Tuesday has been formed by the Act-ing-Prime Minister, Mr Nash. He said today he was unable to say whether or not the session would continue till the return of the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser. The main item of business for the session will be the consideration of the Budget and the estimates. Mr Nash will present the Budget on either Tuesday or Wednesday night and, though since the war debates have been shorter, a fairly full discussion of the Budget proposals is likely. Mr Nash said he had not yet a complete list of the legislation that might come before the House. It would, however, include a Repatriation Bill, War Damages Bill, River Erosion Bill, Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill, and one or two Finance Bills. These measures were likely to be introduced during the Budget debate.
