LADIES’ jWXILIARY MEETING IN MASTERTON. POPULAR CARD PARTIES. At the monthly meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A., held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, there was a good attendance of members. Mrs H. E. Pither presided. The treasurer’s report showed a very favourable bank balance. A report was submitted in connection with the card parties, the next of which will be held on July 17, at 7.45 p.m. The question of holding a children's party was discussed, the date suggested being August 22. Mr Gaze moved a vote of thanks to the Curtain Committee which was carried. Appreciation was expressed by the members in connection, with the furnishings of the lounge. A most successful “bring and buy” table was held. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Taylor and Hessell.
