TRUST LANDS TRUST

MEETING IN MASTERTON LAST NIGHT. GRANTS ACKNOWLEDGED. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held in Masterton last night. The chairman, Mr H. P. Hugo, presided. There were also present: Messrs J. Macfarlane Laing, E. G. Eton, A. Owen Jones, C. E. Grey, H. H. Daniell, R. Krahagen, R. Page and J. A. Russell. The financial statement showed a total credit balance of £1867 19s Id. Accounts for £7B Ils 7d were passed, in addition to special grants totalling £230, from the scholarship account. The Wairarapa College, Central School, Headteachers’ Association, West School, Solway School, Y.M.C.A., Plunket Society, and the Crippled Children Society wrote thanking the Trust for grants which had been allocated. The Wellington Acclimatisation Society thanked the Trust for its offer to plant on boundaries, and consented to planting being carried out on lands leased by the Society.
