GOLF CLUB COMPETITION DRAW. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following draw has been made for a fourball stableford competition to. be played on the Carterton links on Saturday:— From No. 1 tee: Smart and M. Knowles v. Personal Items. Mr R. Thom, of Weber, is visiting Carterton. .-Mrs lan Bond received a cable message yesterday to the effect that her husband had been wounded in Egypt. Mrs P. Nicholls, who has been an inmate at the Greytown Hospital for some considerable time, returned to her home today. Auxiliary Firemen. The twelve recruits who have volunteered for service as an auxiliary fire brigade, have received initial instruction from members of the Carterton Volunteer Fire Brigade. Ladies’ Golf Club. The following will play in the L.G.U. medal round and for Mr C. K. Goodin s trophy on the Carterton links on Saturday: Mrs Candy and Mrs Colson, Miss Berrill and Mrs Moroney, Miss Campbell and Mrs Harrington, Mrs Murray and Miss Freer’, Miss Smart and Mrs Orr, Mrs Johansen and Mrs Robinson, Miss Armstrong and Mrs Knowles, Miss Lamb and Miss I. Corlet, Miss J. Booth and Miss Goble, Mrs Forbes and Miss Peters, Miss Court and Miss Lawrence, Miss J. Orr and Miss V. Corlet, Miss Hamer and Mrs Nix, Mrs Hastie and Miss Lindop, Miss Z. Freer and Miss P. Bredin, Mrs Tankersley and Mrs Martin. Misses I. and V. Corlet will be in charge of afternoon tea.
