PAHIATUA SALE
HOGGETS IN KEEN DEMAND. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on the Pahiatua sale: —A small yarding of sheep comprising mostly ewes, and hoggets came forward and were offered to a medium attendance of the public. Hoggets were in keen demand, and prices appreciated on last week’s realisations. Aged ewes were not wanted, and sales in this section were not brisk. Guaranteed sound dairy cows, close to profit, sold well at increased rates. Quotations: —Woolly hoggets (good), 19s sd, 18s to 17s 9d; medium, 16s 4d to 14s; small, to 9s 6d; m.a. ewes, 19s; 5 and 6-yr. ewes, S.D. rams, 12s 6d; fat wethers, 25s to 235; dairy cows, £l2, £9 10s to £9; aged horse, £ll.
