MEETING OF MASTERTON COMMITTEE LATE MISS HOLDINOTT’S WORK. TRIBUTE PAID BY MEMBERS. The monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society was field in Masterton yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs J. Caselberg, presided. There were also present: Mesdames S. L. P. Free, A. F. Stewart, C. A. Carmine, J. V. Gordon, A. H. Falloon, Sortain Smith, G. C. L. Dickel, lan Bunny, Keltic, H. H. Daniell, J. James. T. Jordan, T. W. Wardell, E. J. Hefl'er, Graham Cowie, and E.'G. Norman. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdamcs J. D. O'Connor, P. Nathan, N. Irwin, J. M. Coradine, R. C. Drummond and D. Donald. Mrs Caselberg referred briefly to the death of the Dominion secretary-trea-surer. Miss Holdinott. She stated that her thorough knowledge of the constitution and financial responsibilities of the society to the smallest detail was remarkable. Mrs Caselberg paid tribute to Miss Holdinctt’s patience and courtesy. Mrs S. L. P. Free (secretary) also spoke briefly. Mesdames J. Caselberg, S. L. P. Free. J. D. O'Connor, J. M. Coradine, J. V. Gordon, H. H. Daniell, and A. F. Stewart were re-elected gn executive committee. A sum of £2O 14s 7d was received from the Henry Endowment Bequest. Accounts for £49 12s 3d were passed. The nurse's report stated: —Visits to office: Adults, 345; babies, 335; preschool, 55: telephone, 113; total, 848. Visits to homes, new cases, 37; old cases, 141; total, 178. Pre-school children seen in homes, 18. New cases for month (town), 11. New cases chartered, town and country, 15. Out-stations: Tinui sub-branch, Taueru, Blairlogie, 2 visits each; Homewood, Tinui, Annßdale, 1 visit each. New cases, 2. Visits to new cases, 2; old, 15; total, 17. Mauriceville sub-branch, Kopuaranga, Mauriceville West and East, Ihaurua Valley, 2 visits each. New cases, 2. Visits to new cases, 4; old, 30; total, 34. Pre-natal section: New cases, 5; casuals, 5; return visits, 5; visits to jwn homes, 2; total visits, 17. Thanks were accorded Mr Lee and Mesdames O. Bunny, C. A. Cameron, and Fisher for gifts.
