NAVY LEAGUE
WOMEN'S AUXILIARY. MEETING IN MASTERTON YESTERDAY. A well-attended meeting of the Masterton Women's Auxiliary of the Navy League was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs" S. R. Gawith presiding. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames R. C. Drummond, H. McKenzie Douglas* A. Caselberg, C. Deans, Misses McLaren and Daniell. It was reported that a number of new junior members had been enrolled since the last meeting. The wool committee reported that 120 garments were ready for packing. The food committee reported that it had received a large number of parcels during the month. The. committee desire to thank all those who are helping with the war work. A list of acknowledgments will be issued at a later date. Mrs A. Caselberg, Navy League representative on the mayoress’s patriotic committee, forwarded a report on the year's work, and also a report of the quantity of goods distributed by the National Patriotic Fund Board. Letters of thanks were received from two local service men who had been supplied with woollen comforts.
