Sii' Frederick William Eggleston, barrister, of Melbourne, former Attor-ney-General in the Victorian Government. has been appointed the Commonwealth’s first Minister to China. He is recognised as an authority on Australian Pacific and Far Eastern relations. He was on the staff of the Australian delegation to the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.
