CANTERBURY MARKETS. RISE IN POTATO PRICES. (By Telegranh—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 4. Potatoes have risen £1 a ton during bo week, mainly because of local interest in the market. At an increased price, lifile business is being done. Large shipments made to the North island last week have now arrived and nouiry from there is naturally somewhat restrained at present. Other markets are all quiet. Overseas inquiries for small seeds are not plentiful, but a few shipments of orders received earlier in the year have now been made.
