CHINESE LOSSES
HEAVY IN NORTH CHINA. ACCORDING TO JAPANESE AGENCY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) SHANGHAI. July 3. The Domei Agency announced that 42,418 Chinese were killed. 29,246 taken prisoner and vast supplies of arms and ammunition captured during the mopping up of Shansi and North-Western Honan, in May and June and said the campaign had dealt a deathblow to Chungking aspirations in North China.
